If you are checking out a guest you just need one screen to look at. If anything is due, the system will not allow you to check out the guest. It will populate a screen to select settlement type to collect the due amount.

You can charge the guests on hourly basis if you enable this. Allows you to offer competitive and affordable rates if the guest has stayed only for few hours.
Meal plan to select on room.
If you offer meal plans along with the stay, you can select it while checking in the guest. You can either include the charges in the rates or show them as extra charges
